"Daddy Love"

Trent's birthday was on Monday and we had a wonderful time celebrating him (I even went all-out with the decorations... re-using the banner from Jack's party). Lately we have been trying to get Jack to say "love you" but not until Trent's birthday did he finally say his own rendition of "love you," he started saying "mommy love" or "daddy love". It is precious. My heart literally melted the first time he said it. So, that was Jack's contribution to Trent's excellent birthday.

Trent's biggest fans showed up wearing "kill Trent" shirts (basically they are supposed to be like the "stop pre" shirts from the 1970's).

I made an ice cream cake and we invited some family over to eat it with us.

Jackson and I are so lucky to have Trent, he is the best!

Halloween 2011

I am not going to lie, Halloween is not my favorite holiday. I get totally creeped out by the severed legs, head-stones, and ghoul-like creatures protruding from people's lawns through out the month of October. And don't even get me started on some of the scary/scandalous costumes people let their kids wear. I guess I am more of a happy holiday type of person, you know, where we give thanks or exchange gifts rather than try to scare other people. Most likely all of these feelings stem from me being a complete wimp.

Anyways, Halloween this year was really fun! We attended three parties, a pumpkin patch, and a trunk or treat. I originally made Jack a gnome costume, but lets be serious, a one-year-old wearing a hat and beard was not realistic. In almost every picture he was fighting with all his might to get that hat off! So then we switched to being a monkey. Which turned into the Angels rally monkey (come on, he is an Andrews and loving the Angels is in his blood-- or maybe Trent had something to do with it).

14 Months

I am 14 months old today... Don't mind my lack of smiles, I have an ear infection.

Fall is in the air

Milestones:
  • I don't walk around, I RUN, anywhere and everywhere sometimes resulting in bruises.
  • I weigh a healthy 22 pounds, I know because we have been to the doctors twice in the past week.
  • I love to read, I bring books to mommy and daddy and have them read them over and over again.
  • My vocabulary is growing at an alarming rate, I say most of the common words like "momma" and "dadda" but I am starting to say big words too. This week my new words are "punkin" "docta" "flowa" "footba" "tracta" and "choo choo".
  • Mommy got sick of chasing me around the hallways at church so we went to nursery together this week and I loved it! I am a social animal.

Find of the Century!!!

Today Trent and I decided to hit up a few garage sales. The very first one we stopped at I found my all-time best garage sale deal EVER... The Le Creuset jackpot. Yep, you heard me, the best cast-iron cookware out there. I purchased three absolutely fabulous pots for $1. ONE DOLLAR!!!!! I almost peed my pants with excitement. I have always wanted some of these beauties, but could not justify spending hundreds of dollars for one! I could not keep this amazing deal to myself... I feel like shouting from the rooftops (don't worry, I won't). We figure I got about $700-$800 worth of cooking bliss for $1. WOW. I guess now I need to learn to cook more than about five things...
