best break ever

About a week ago we returned to Utah after spending three glorious weeks in sunny San Diego with our families. We had so much fun relaxing and enjoying time together. This was pretty much Trent's first real break from school and/or work in years. Get ready for picture overload...

Jenna got Hitched!

Jenna, one my my all-time favorite people EVER got married this weekend. She is one of the cutest, happiest, most up-lifting people I know and she married the man of her dreams on Saturday in the Salt Lake Temple. I am so happy for her, she honestly deserves eternal bliss and I am so glad we got to be there to support the happy couple! Their reception was absolutely stunning (no surprise there, Jenna and her mom both have amazing taste), and we were able to attend baby-free (THANKS ANNE!). Such a wonderful day!

Isn't she gorgeous? Congratulations Jenna & Lane!

Anders & Courtney's Wedding & Reunion

One of the main reasons we traveled to California was so we could be present at one of Trent's best friends weddings in LA on May 11. The day started bright and early as we carpooled with some of our dearest friends up to the the sealing at the LA temple. The ceremony was incredible and Anders and Courtney could not have looked happier. Then, we headed to Huntington Beach to eat lunch and relax in the sun until the reception. I was so nervous about leaving Jack all day (thanks Nana for watching him!), but the sun melted that worry right out of my system! It was literally the most perfect beach day ever! We loved laying-out, splashing in the water and visiting with many of our closest college-friends. The reception was so fun, there was delicious food, super-fun music/dancing, and amazing company. We love Anders and Courtney and could not be happier for them. I want to personally thank them for getting married because it was the perfect college-friend reunion!

The whole crew

Are they not the cutest couple ever? They look like they just walked out of a J.Crew catalog!

Beach Boy

We are still in Encinitas, and we ventured down to Moonlight Beach a few days ago. It had been since Christmas that we had been to the beach, so we were not sure how Jack would like it. He LOVED the sand and he had a love-hate relationship with the water. He wanted to stand in the water so bad even though it was freezing, but when a wave would come he would get knocked over and he did NOT like that. The problem was that he did not want anyone touching him while he played in the water, so he was half laughing and half screaming the whole time. There was practically nobody at the beach so Trent and I enjoyed a visit with our good friends Robbie and Kelley while Jack chased seagulls and dug in the sand. Such a relaxing day!

Coldplay & Angels

I love coming home. We are currently enjoying fun-filled days in sunny (or lately not-so-sunny) Encinitas with our families. We are taking full advantage of Trent's first real break (not working or in school, or both). It has been so nice! So far our adventures include attending a Coldplay concert and going to an Angels game. Almost the entire Andrews clan was able to attend the concert due to the generosity of Kathleen scouring Craigslist for tickets, Thanks Kathleen! Coldplay is absolutely amazing live, they put on an incredible show. The concert was at the Hollywood Bowl and it was a gorgeous night to be at an outdoor concert. Then last night, Trent and I were feeling ambitious and decided to attempt to take Jack to an Angels game (last time we tried, we only lasted three innings). This time we managed six innings before he had had enough.

COLDPLAY

These wrist-bands lit up throughout the concert (imagine 18,000 flashing wrist-bands--- it was so cool).

My mom babysat Jack for us, so we had a mini double date with Pierce & Amelia, whom our seats were with. It was a blast! Thanks mom for watching our boy!

ANGELS GAME

Jack was being a grumpster by this point, so he does not look happy.

I think he was watching an airplane (not the game) in this picture

Great seats-- Thanks Pops!
