Happy Easter!

Now if you thought I was a mean mom for making Jackson pose with a heart for Valentines day... That was nothing next to this...

Congratulations Pierce!!!

Pierce is graduating BYU-Law today and we feel like he deserves a shout-out! Not only is he a super-star uncle, he is also super smart! What an accomplishment! We know that California is about to gain a great attorney!

Baby J on the Move

Jackson went to bed last night unable to move forward without rolling. He woke up this morning doing this weird (and adorable) full-body crawl. He also woke up from his nap knowing how to clap and did that all afternoon, seriously the cutest thing EVER (video to come). He must be having good sleep because today was a big day of milestones for baby J.

Ragnar

Way to go team Andrews & Rhodes finishing 3rd overall out of over 500 teams in this year's Southern California Ragnar. They ran around 200 miles from Huntington to Coronado from Friday to Saturday last week. They did so well! We are so proud of our family members who ran: Trent, Pierce, Wade, Doug, Collin, Tyson, and Amber!

MOA

On our last day in Provo, Jack and I went to see the Carl Bloch's "The Savior's Hand" exhibit at the BYU Museum of Art (MOA). It was BEAUTIFUL!!! What a talented artist! I heard that this is the first time his work has been in the United States, how lucky that we were able to see it!

After we saw the Bloch exhibit, we cruised around and saw the other exhibits on display. I was in complete awe of "The Matter of Words" exhibit by Adam Bateman, Harrell Fletcher, and John Fraser. It was outrageous. They created a building-sized masterpiece made completely out of books. I seriously could not believe they stacked books to make something so beautiful!

Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes

The Andrews family has had some big changes in the last week or so. On Sunday, Trent was released from his calling in the BYU 6th ward bishopric. It was so sad, we truly loved being in that ward and getting to know all of the wonderful people in it. Of course, at the end of sacrament meeting I was swarmed with people distraught that the ward mascot (Jackson) was leaving! We made wonderful friends in that ward that we will never forget.

Then, on Tuesday Jack and I headed to California on a plane (yes, I flew home alone with my little screeching velociraptor). The flight went better than it could have done, probably because I stood up the whole time in the isle to keep mister curious happy. He was so intrigued by all of the people. It helped that the flight attendants kept stopping to talk to him and the people behind me were playing peek-a-boo with him.

We will be living with my parents for a few months while Trent works as a summer associate at a near-by law firm. We are counting our blessing because many of the students in Trent's class don't have work this summer (darn economy). It has been so fun to be back home! Jack LOVES his cousins, they keep him happy which gives me more free-time! He has adjusted to this unfamiliar place better than expected, his sleep schedule has not really even varied (THANK GOODNESS/knock on wood). Best of all, Jack has both sets of grandparents here doting on him. He is one spoiled baby.

Jack thinks Kirra is the coolest, EVER!

Pops, you are so fun!

Today is my 24th birthday and my amazing mom out-did herself and made a delicious feast to celebrate (not to mention the adorable banner below). It was so nice to have my entire family there (minus matt who had to work).

Love you nana!

Happy birthday mommy... this is how excited I am!!!

All I can say is, even with all these changes, life is good.

Field Expedition Reunion

I randomly ran into my long-lost friend Elise at a fireside last week! I met Elise on BYU-Idaho's summer field expedition in 2006. "Expedition" as we called it was one of the best experiences of my life. We traveled around the western United States camping, hiking, and learning biology and geology in a very hands-on approach. I don't think it is possible to camp with 20 other people for six weeks and not become great friends. As we traveled to the Oregon coast, the Grand Canyon, and Yellow Stone I made some very unforgettable memories. Elise and I decided to do lunch while she was in Provo and Ashlee (another expeditioner) came too. We had a blast laughing at the hilarious time I almost drowned, the other time we all almost died being struck by lightening, and when we were charged by a protective momma bear. It was so nice to see those girls and remember that wonderful summer.
