Splish Splash

Our new apartment has a second bathroom. How amazing is that? So, the problem was that we had never had two before and so I needed some decorating inspiration for Jackson's very own bathroom.

It all started at the 99 cent store. Seriously, I was walking down the school supply isle and I found a section of wall decorating stickers, normally I would not be attracted to stickers for the walls, but we are talking about a baby's bathroom. There was one pack of jungle stickers, they were too cute!

The design plan was centered on those 99 cent jungle animals! I found an awesome shower curtain at crate and barrel outlet for $6.99, an adorable bath rug at Ikea for $8.99, and I made a 12" letter "J" to hang above the toilet (it probably cost around $5).

For the counter I already had some palm tree frames and I put pictures of Trent and I as babies in them. Overall, for about $22 we have a decorated bathroom for baby J. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Valentines Date

Best concert ever! Trent surprised me with tickets to Mindy Gledhill, she was sooooo good. Libbie Linton opened for her and she was amazing too! The concert was in this adorable little venue called the velour right here in provo , it had so much charm (they even included a gourmet cupcake in the ticket price)! Such a perfect valentines date. If you have not heard either of these talented ladies, you need to look them up!

Welcome Baby Maddoc!

My awesome cousin Rhett and his beautiful wife Lauren had their second baby this week. Maddoc is his name and he is adorable! We went to meet him at the hospital and we love him so much! Hopefully one day Jack and Maddoc will be best friends! Congratulations Rhett and Lauren!

Jumping Jack

Jack is absolutely LOVING the exersaucer! He bounces all over the place! He is too funny in it, every time he pivots even a little bit, he sees a new toy and acts all surprised to see it, even though he just saw it two minutes before. Thanks Aryn for letting us borrow it!

Oh, and in case you have not heard, Jack has a new dew... His faux-hawk makes me smile.

Baby Riley

Trent's cousin Caitlin and her husband Tom had a baby girl on Monday. Riley is her name, she is a total doll! She is itty-bitty. We went to see her last night and Jackson looked like a giant next to her! I cannot believe how big he is getting!

He just kept staring at her, it was as though he was trying to figure out why that tiny little thing kept crying.



She seriously was tiny, only 6 lbs. 10 oz. at birth!



It was like he was thinking, "I could eat her for breakfast!"
